Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect
- Account info: email, display name, username, avatar, and an optional bio.
- Listings: title, description, photos, neighborhood-level location, lot size, pricing, and amenities.
- Bookings & messages: dates, messages between Renter and Landowner, and the contract record (typed-name signature, timestamp, IP address, and SHA-256 fingerprint of the frozen terms).
- Wallet activity: simulated transactions, running balance, and event metadata.
- Operational logs: minimal technical logs to operate the Service and detect abuse.
2. Why We Use It
- To operate the marketplace and match Renters with Landowners.
- To generate, store, and serve binding rental contracts.
- To send transactional notifications you've opted into.
- To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms.
3. Who Can See What
LandHare uses Row-Level Security (RLS) to enforce per-user visibility at the database layer:
- Public: listings, your username, display name, avatar, and bio.
- You: your bookmarks, wallet transactions, and notification settings.
- You + the other party (only): your bookings, messages, and rental contracts. Exact addresses are revealed only after a booking is approved.
- LandHare admins: may access records to investigate abuse or assist with disputes.
4. Sub-processors
We rely on a limited set of trusted vendors to operate the Service:
- Lovable Cloud (hosting, database, file storage, authentication).
- Lovable AI Gateway when AI assistance is requested.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
5. Retention
Account, listing, and contract data is retained for the life of your account and as required to administer disputes and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account; we will retain the minimum information needed to satisfy contractual and legal obligations to the other party of any executed Rental Agreement.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@landhare.com to exercise these rights.
7. Security
We use industry-standard transport encryption (TLS), database RLS, and least-privilege access for staff. No system is perfect; report suspected vulnerabilities to security@landhare.com.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect changes. See also our Terms of Service.
